The C++ shared-memory mechanism called Winsock was also invented by the Microsoft Windows team, particularly Craig Manneck, James W. Porter, Michael L. Furtek, and Mark Russinovich of the Windows NT workstation team. Actually, the Winsock internal handles the communication with TCP/IP sockets, while Winsocks external handles the interconnection with a communication mechanism that in turns can use a wide range of protocols based on them. Therefore, the Winsock not only acts as a driver for the operating system, but it is also responsible for the actual communication.

File use licensing is a way to control the use of a file, or type of file. Licensing a file usually involves giving the copyright holder possession of a copy of the license certificate, as well as an original copy of the file itself. Licensing blocks copying and other uses of that file, but any work done in accordance with the license remains the property of the copyright holder, and can be sold, or sold for more than what was given for the license. d2c66b5586
