So what makes it a good daily driver? Even considering its premium price tag, the Redline 3.2 is surprisingly sporty. That's thanks to the engine, which, as mentioned, mates Ferrari-inspired V8 technology and a bulletproof chassis. And the all-wheel drive keeps it feeling firmly planted at all times, no matter how fast you go. Handling is great, and it's no slouch in the corners either. Ride comfort is actually pretty good, too.
The Redline 3.2 is a beautiful thing. There's plenty of carbon fiber, from the leather bucket seats to the sound-deadening laminated wood dash. That's not to mention the rest of the car, which features rear-axle steering, a red steering wheel, and even gearshift paddles. Even the clocks are a nice shade of red, so it's no wonder the interior is so colorful. And that's before you even get to the cabin itself, which is fitted with comfortable seats, plentiful storage, and enough display and instrumentation to make even the most hardcore car nut smile.
The interior is certainly huge and spacious, even if it looks a little big in person. That's partly because the car's envelope is actually 44 inches wide, so there's plenty of room for everyone to fit. And space is hardly the limit for how much cargo you can stuff in the Redline's trunk. It's even got a roof rack that can hold your kayak for when you're in the mood to take your car for a day hike.
The Redline is spacious enough to comfortably seat 5 people, and it'd be tough to be disappointed. As for getting in and out, the Redline 3.2 has a fairly spacious back seat, so there aren't any weak spots. And considering the price of the car, the a-pillar and side window which are dual-controlled are a welcome touch.
The mid-mounted engine is the centerpiece of the car, but its styling and features are also impressive. Fully street legal versions offered navigation systems, a 10 speaker sound system, air conditioning, and even a back-up camera which comes in handy given that you don't want to be parallel parking with a car that costs almost $300,000. That only matters if you can find one, since SSC produced only 24 units in total. d2c66b5586
